Friday Favorites, 10.15.21

Happy Friday, friends! I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika for this weekly blog post.

Our home is my favorite, even with this yellow flag hanging that my husband bought as a surprise. ;) I love the leaves dotting the yard, our porch, our flower beds...I love it all and I'm grateful to be able to call this home. ❤

Going to Mom's house for dinner Saturday night was a favorite. I gave the house to all the guys for the Alabama game and hung out with Mom, Bill and Trish while they yelled at the tv.

This new "hello Pumpkin" Pop Socket is my favorite.

Freshly cut grass is my favorite, and so is what was possibly the last cutting of the season for the guys. It felt SO GOOD outside Monday morning, it was cool and really windy. I was out there with the dogs for a good long while and tried to brush off lots of their extra fur. They all got baths this week and when they get bathed, they shed like crazy for about a day or two, then it slows back down to less than normal. I love our dogs. I do not love their fur.

I've been reading in Isaiah all week and it's been one of my favorites parts of my quiet time each morning. I'm still reading along in my Everyday with Jesus Bible...this would make a great gift for someone in your life! It's another way to read the Bible in a year...but I already have a different plan in mind for 2022. I'll share about that soon.

I visited my happy place this week! That is always a favorite of mine. (I went to my local library.)

Drew came home for dinner last night and he snuggled like this for a while with Crash. After eight long months of surgeries and recovering, Crash was released from his doctor yesterday! He can now jump and chase squirrels to his little heart's content. Crash's favorite spot to sleep is on the couch, on a blanket.

Oakley's favorite new thing is to go upstairs with me every morning while I do laundry and get dressed. She was sitting so cute on Wednesday!

Getting my nails done every three-four weeks is my favorite thing and so is this color! It's OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark. I went to a new place today at the recommendation of a friend. I love my old place still, it's just that they're getting busier and busier. This new place is appointment only.

It was a good week. How was yours? I'd love to hear from you! Thank you for reading my blog and leaving comment love, friends. Love to all! ❤

Your landscaping looks so nice at your house and yes, those leaves are beginning to fall. It won't be long before our yard will be covered. Enjoy your weekend!

Thanks, Marilyn! I get so excited when I start to see leaves falling from trees. I love this time of year and think they're so beautiful! We won't rake until most of them are off the trees. I hope you have a great weekend too!

Oakley is adorable! Glad he has a clean bill of health now. Your nails are really pretty and I love that color. I have never had a manicure, I may have to change that sometime soon. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

I love the nail color. I was just thinking if I could get 3-4 weeks out of my nails. Are you hard on your nails?

Your nails look fabulous!! I am loving that stack of books too. I am down to three books in my library pile and need to make a trip there next week to wander and replenish.

Thanks, Cathy! We are so glad little Oakley is healthy again. You should totally remedy that and get a manicure when you have some free time on your hands! I hope you had a great weekend!

Thanks, Jen! I love the dip powder because I am hard on my nails...not only do I wash my hands all the time, I'm clumsy and always bumping into things or jamming my nail into something. It's a little extra money to get the dip powder, but it's the best option for my thin, papery nails. If you try it, let me know what you think!

Thank you, Rebecca Jo! We have done a lot of updating over the past couple of years, so it was a work in progress. I love the dark colors too and this color is the best!
