Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!  I am linking up with Andrea from Momfessionals for this post.

I have to say, for once, I am glad to send a week on its way.  We've had a stomach virus this week.  I am pretty sure it started last Friday night with Todd, then Drew got it, and Noah and Graham was its latest victim.  Hopefully it'll end with him and Jonah and I will not catch it.  BLECH.  I detest stomach bugs.

Because of them being sick, I've not done that much this week.

Last Saturday night was one of my favorite nights of the whole week.  The food was good, the company was great and the singing was the best.  I love Christmas music concerts so much!  And it felt like a mini reunion as I saw some old and dear friends.

Speaking of old and dear friends, today is the birthday of my best friend from my childhood.

I sent her this picture last year and came across it again this morning on my Timehop app.  Stacy was the best and most favorite of all my friends while I was growing up.  We were so close that we were like sisters, and I am so thankful that my kids got to meet her a few years ago to have a face to go with the name.  They've heard a million stories with her in them.

And if you're reading this, Stace, happy birthday, my dear friend.  I love you and treasure all of our memories!  (I texted her already this morning.)

Quiet times were my favorite times of all this week.  I love waking up early and sitting by the tree for this.  I'm especially loving all the Advent readings from scripture.

On Tuesday, Christmas M&Ms were my favorite afternoon snack, along with this short glass of ice cold milk.

This was my favorite delivery from the UPS and Amazon this week.

I talked of this yesterday, though, so I'll move on.  But if you haven't~go read yesterday's post and then go buy this book.

I had to shopping for jeans yesterday and Mom went along with me.  Trish met us for lunch at Firebird's and thanks to their birthday coupon they sent me, my lunch cost a total of $6, including the tip.

Their BLT salad is my FAVORITE.

And after lunch, Trish had to run here to exchange something, and I took a picture so I could share with you my favorite store.  I love this store a whole lot more at Christmas, and right now, they are running a special on their three wick candles.  They're on sale for $12.50.  I might have to go buy one for the winter this weekend.  I am currently using all of my Christmas candles.

And candles are another favorite of mine.  I am a simple girl, y'all, and it does not take much at all to please me.

Last night was a Christmas party with some of my favorite people, but I didn't get a picture.

And because before too long, these days will be past, here's one more of my favorite places to be during this season.

I already miss the thought of it being gone.  I love this time of year so much, but I want to just kind of hover where it is and stay right here.  By the time Christmas day comes, I'm always sad to see it go.  I love the music, the movies, the sights and sounds and all the gatherings that take place.
